The Clarinda Foundation, Inc., sponsors the local chapter of Dollars for Scholars, cooperating with the Clarinda High School to maximize benefits to area students who receive scholarships. The Foundation holds funds which finance the scholarships listed here and accepts other annual awards to qualify for Dollars for Scholars criteria.
To compete for one of the scholarships complete the Clarinda Foundation Scholarship Application (found at www.clarinda.k12.ia.us/hs/hsguide/2009Schol/LocSchol.pdf) and print it. You will need one application for each scholarship for which you are applying. Some scholarships require an essay and/or other information which can be found on the page describing that scholarship. Type this information on a separate sheet with the title of the scholarship and your name at the top of each page.
The applicant should place the materials for each scholarship in the following order:
1. Scholarship Application;
2. List of achievements, honors, elected positions and volunteer/service experience.
3. List of extracurricular activities;
4. Additional essays/information as required for specific local scholarships;
